Where does Curateology source and manufacture their ceramic dinnerware? 

All of our ceramics are made in Portugal by skilled local artisans, who have expert craftsmanship perfected through the centuries . Our manufacturing partner use generations of expertise to deliver quality to last a lifetime. Each piece is carefully hand finished, packaged, and checked for imperfections.

What is stoneware ?

Stoneware is a dense, non-porous material made from natural clay fired at 1150ºC for superior durability, strength and heat resistant qualities . 

What is a reactive glaze ? 

Generally speaking, stoneware ceramics tend to be finished using standard glazes, which dominate the market which are very plain and simple . A reactive glaze offers an elevated variation from the status quo as the finishes have character, with organic aesthetics. Each piece will have its own unique and identifiable appearance . No two pieces of reactive glaze dinnerware are identical . 

Is it safe to eat food from a reactive glaze finish ? 

Yes, all of our ceramics are 100% food contact safe 

Can I use my ceramic dinnerware in the dishwasher ?

Yes, all of our ceramics are 100% microwave and dishwasher safe 

Can I put my ceramic dinnerware in the oven ?  

Yes, our ceramic dinnerware is oven safe up to 200C, however to maintain the appearance and durability we would recommend not to use in the oven.

All of our cutlery collections are made in Italy by a family run manufacturer who have expert craftsmanship and renowned through the world for their design , quality and attention to detail. Our manufacturing partner use generations of expertise to deliver quality to last a lifetime. Each piece is carefully hand finished, packaged, and checked for imperfections. 

Can I put stainless steel cutlery in the dishwasher ? 

Cutlery with coloured handles is dishwasher-safe at medium-low temperatures not exceeding 50-55 °C.We would recommend washing by hand . Cutlery with solid stainless steel handles is dishwasher safe at 65 °CIf washing by hand do not use scouring pads or abrasive detergents.We recommend using a soft cloth. Use suitable detergents, avoiding alkaline products containing chlorine and bleach.At the end of the washing cycle, remove and dry the cutlery by hand. If this is not possible, open the dishwasher door so that water vapour can escape and moisture does not build up.
